Episode 1: Why Do We Celebrate Genocide?

We took a long break and hoped to record season two in a real studio with all the tips and tricks to be make ourselves a “real” podcast. Alas plans kept falling though and we decided that recording at home on the phone was better than nothing. We decided we would let our little podcast grow along-side us but commit to honoring what we have by using it.

For this episode, the title says it all. Indigenous People Day has been a time of deep contemplation since he read A Different Mirror. He actually didn’t finish, he looked at me with watery eyes and said he just couldn’t take another broken treaty and the book has been on the self since then. That was last year. This year we had a conversation that left us both speechless. A loose tooth brought a few giggles but mainly we processed hard truths together.
